From the Andes
to Jungle
Tarma, Jauja and
Chanchamayo

The Mantaro Valley was the main place from where the evangelization campaigns started during XVII century, most of them ending in a complete disaster thanks to braveness of Amazonian tribes. This trail will surprise you with its ecological diversity; departing from Lima in the coast we will pass the Andes Mountain Range to get in 2 mountain range stages into the Central Andes Valley of Mantaro River to start our main adventure: the pass to the Jungle starting at 13500ft arriving to the heath of the green rainforest at 2100ft
