Northern Amazonian Kingdoms
After a short visit in Lima, the North Amazonic route will take us first to know about the Moche culture in the coast, the fertile land where they were developed permitted to Sipan, Sican, Lambayeque and Chimu cultures establish a strong social organization based in religion, fear and war nowadays with new discoveries that show their greatness and their impressive art expressions maybe the best of any pre Hispanic culture.
Then passing the Andes we will enter to the Chachapoyas Kingdom “warriors of the clouds”, the thousand years culture, one of the last empires to fall under the Empire of the Incas. Our trails will take you by dirt roads and singletracks surrounded by beautiful mountain landscapes: deep valleys, cloud forests and old villages, having as the main attraction the Kuelap Fortress, a huge stone building known as "the Machu Picchu of the North".
Once leaving these lands we will go to the Amazonian highlands in the Alto Mayo mountain range where we will feel the heath of the jungle and its different terrain surrounded by vegetation and waterfalls. This historical region was part of the El Dorado campaigns that started in Chachapoyas finishing the tour in Tarapoto, the gate to Iquitos and the Great Amazonas River and to Great Pajaten Adventure.
