The European Jungle

This tour takes us to the mountain highlands of the Central Jungle, land of the European Colons, that in 1859 arrived after 2 years of sacrifice crossing the Andes Mountain Range by horse and foot from the coast to the jungle founding the village of Pozuzo. In the end of 19th century colons from Croatia, Italy and China arrived adding to Austrians, Germans, Ashaninkas and Yaneshas this great mix of bloods, nowadays known in the world because of its coffee products.

LIMA/TARMA/SAN RAMON/OXAPAMPA Depart to Central Andes. Arrival to Tarma pass (12.300ft) and 1st ride by the Inca Trail entering Tarma (9150ft) in the afternoon, then by road to San Ramon city. Transfer to Oxapampa. Lodging

OXAPAMPA/POZUZO Departure of the ride by a dirt road that starts from 5.500ft to 1.800ft, passing by some part of the Yanachaga Chemillen National Park. Lodging

POZUZO At 05h00 we will go to see the national bird: the Cock of the Rocks. Ride in Pozuzo forest, passing by singletracks and hanging bridges surrounded by this amazing mountain fields German old fashioned styled. Lodging.

POZUZO/OXAPAMPA/VILLA RICA/SAN RAMON Breakfast and transfer at 06h00 to Oxapampa. Ride between Oxapampa and Villa Rica villages to get Perene River and San Ramon. Lodging.

SAN RAMON/LIMA Ride by San Ramon forest. After lunching departure to Lima, arriving at night.
