Mantaro Valley


The Mantaro river and its valley is a very important agricultural region but is a place filled of artisans of different kinds, for that reason is known and considered as the main capital of folklore having in its surroundings many local parties and festivals in each town during all the year.
The adventure trails pass by ancient paths where contact with nature, history and people is a constant of any ride. The Xauxa’s region was in Inca times in a development process when Inca empire take them by force in 1460 connecting the capital of the Central Andes with the center of the empire, Cusco, with the great network of paths known as the Royal Inca Trail.


Day 1 LIMA/ JAUJA/ CONCEPCIÓN Arrival*. Transfer to hotel.

Day 2 SINCOS/CONCEPCIÓN Departure by bikes (10.500ft) by the right side of the Mantaro Valley riding by the heights of it, with great views of Huaytapallana Summit. Then by singletracks to Sincos and Mito villages arriving finally to Concepción. Lodging.

Day 3 JAUJA/MANTARO/CONCEPCIÓN
Transfer to Paca lagoon and departure on bikes by the left side of the river going by the interior of the valley passing by many Andean villages as Masma, Mantaro., Apata  closing the ride in a local restaurant at Ingenio. Arrival to Concepcion in the afternoon. Lodging.

Day 4  CONCEPCIÓN/LIMA
