Conchucos,
Andean Highpasses

One of the most beautiful Andean mountain bike tour of Peru. The tour makes a loop from Huaylas and Conchucos Valleys passing by amazing villages and breathless landscapes surrounding the snowy summits of the White Mountain Tropical Range. After the visit of the first andean civilization in Chavin we will close the loop atacking the highest and extreme highpass in the Andes: The Olympic Point pass with its 14.700 ft and from where we could apreciate the highest summit of Peru and the second in South America: the Huascarán.

LIMA/HUARAZ Departure from Lima by bus to Huaraz. Arrival at 20h00 approx. Hotel.

HUARAZ Ride for acclimatizing. Departing from Huaraz we will go to Monterrey. Transfer to Willcashuain and downhill by paths arriving to lodging in Huaraz. Lunch.

HUARAZ/CHAVIN Begin of the trail to Conchucos, starting by road to Cahuish tunnel then downhilling by road too to Chavin. Lunch. Visit to the archaeological complex. Lodging.

CHAVIN/HUANTAR/HUARI Tour by the valley highlands with the best views of  Conchucos. Lunch. Lodging.

HUARI/CHACAS Transfer to the highpass above 12.000ft and begin of the ride to San Luis and Chacas. Lunch. Lodging.
We recommend to bring used clothes to share with community specially with kids.

CHACAS/CARHUAZ/HUARAZ Climb to Olimpic Point Highpass at 14.700ft and begin of downhill to Huaylas Valley to Carhuaz village. Lunch. Transfer to Huaraz. Hotel.
