Chachapoyas,
From Kuelap to Gocta

The Royal Valley of the Chachapoyas, the kingdom of 1000 years, known as the "Warriors of the Clouds", is distinguished by its rugged geography with places of historical and archaeological sites located in the heights, between 2800m and 3100m at 1000m of altitude from the deep valley; so every route involve challenge and exciting climbs and downhills by different terrains as dirt roads and shepherds singletracks.
Here we will be in contact with its 2 jewels: the Kuelap Fortress a huge stones building that kept and protected near 500 rounded houses well known as the most important archaeological site, and the Gocta Waterfall, one of the tallest in the world, number 3 of its kind with 771m in 2 vertical jumps, and surrounded by an amazing ecosystem

CHACHAPOYAS Arrival in the afternoon. Transfer to Lodging.

CHACHAPOYAS/LEVANTO/TINGO/CHOCTAMAL Departure early to Levanto village then we will start the ride to Maino and from there downhilling to Utcubamba river (5200ft) and El Tingo. . After lunch, continue the climb to Choctamal (8000ft). Lodging./B/L/D

CHOCTAMAL/KUELAP/TINGO/COCACHIMBA The route will start at 07h00 for a visit to the Fortress of Kuelap. From 10.30 am we begin the downhill ride to Tingo village by singletrack. After lunch, we return to the route through dirt and asphalt roads to Cocachimba village (4500ft). Lodging. /B/L/D

COCACHIMBA/GOCTA/CHACHAPOYAS Begin of the day hiking at 07h00 going to the waterfalls by a track. Return to Lodge at noon. After lunch we will start the return to Chachapoyas (7100ft) climbing on bikes to the city (50K by road). Lodging. /B/L
