Amazonian Jungle During centuries this region has a multiple Amazonian ethnics, then the Chachapoyas, Incas and Spanish came, turning into the first Amazonian region in America with Spanish citizens in and Inca quechua groups. Surrounded by Alto Mayo Mountains, Huallaga River, Blue and Escalera Mountain Ranges, Tarapoto has different ecosystems in a relative short distance and waterfalls surrounded by jungle vegetation.  The great mixture of races and origins let us enjoy of their ancient and modern cultures and delight its great cuisine, one of the best in the Peruvian jungle.

Day 1 TARAPOTO Arrival. Transfer to hotel.

Day 2 TARAPOTO/LAMAS/SAN ROQUE/TARAPOTO Transfer to Shanao village at 06h00 to start the ride by dirt roads to Lamas continuing by rural paths with climbs and downhills to San Roque del Cumbaza, where we’ll lunch and enjoy its fresh and clear water. Return to Tarapoto biking. Hotel.

Day 3 TARAPOTO/SAUCE/TARAPOTO Early departure to Huallaga river, after crossing it by ferry boat we start the climb to Sauce lagoon. Lunch and return back to Tarapoto. Hotel.

Day 4 TARAPOTO/CERRO ESCALERA/TARAPOTO Early ride to Cordillera Escalera area. Hike of 1h30 to Huacamaillo or La Unión waterfalls. After enjoying a nice moment in the fresh waters we will ride back to Tarapoto. Transfer to the airport.
